Symptoms: I hava a Asus Strix RTX 3090 OC Edition GPU and have had issues with the card turning off the monitors & the sound still playing in select games.
The PSU is an EVGA P6 1000w

Testing: I tested the card using OCCT & Furmark on seprate occasions both with the same results..

The GPU stays at a cool 69c
But the hot spot hits 105c and VRM hits 100c.
I don't think this is normal but I may be wrong?

Do I need to repaste & repad my card, and if I do I live in Europe and need a supplier for repasting my card with the right pad sizes ?

Thank you in advance

Solution
I have been running the card under these conditions unkowningly for ahile now mayb 3 months is there a chance I permently damaged the card?
Negative, that's why protections exist; the clock/voltage throttling, and the shutting off of the system.
3 months isn't a very long time.
What driver version are you on? As for your RTX3090, people who owned them were advised to go for a 1.2KW or higher PSU due to the RTX3000 series' high transient load spikes.

I live in Europe
Europe is a region, please specify the country you're located in and perhaps someone from the community can chime in with a suggestion for thermal paste/pads for your GPU.

I'm currently in Romania.
Are these temps ok?

I have wiped Windows & installed the latest drivers & the symptoms only seem to show up in Green Hell or Rome II.

576.52 is the current driver version & I have tried multiple drivers.

"Vram hits 70 which looks ok when fur-mark is running, I get different readings on the vram but I only ran it for a few minutes.
Due to the hot spot & event view error."

The description for Event ID 153 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\00000086
Restarting TDR occurred on GPUID:100

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

"This was about the same time I got the screens loosing signal earlier today."
